When it comes to making brown rice, only a few people seem to get the recipe right. For the rest of us, it turns into either a sticky porridge or remains undercooked. No doubt brown rice is hard to cook but it is such a healthier option than the regular white rice. The health benefits of brown rice continue with its fiber, which has been shown to reduce high cholesterol levels, and keep blood sugar levels under control.
So we did our research and tried a few different recipes to get the texture right.
Here is what worked for us.
(We tried without the salt but you should be able to add salt if you wish.)
